About this trip
Most of Old Tbilisi's streets are closed to cars or too narrow for them, so the driver drops you off at each stop, waits, and takes you on to the next.
Narikala fortress sits on the ridge above the old town, and the Mother of Georgia statue stands further along the same ridge. You can walk up or take the cable car, which is paid separately, on the spot.
Below the fortress is Abanotubani, the bath district, where the sulphur baths lie under brick domes. A bath is not included; if you want one, say so when you book so the timing allows for it. Wear comfortable shoes: the streets are steep and uneven.
